Rainy Day and Grandson-Out of the Box
This scrapbook sized project was inspired by a lovely grandson and a rainy day. We went outside after it had rained, the ground wet and all. We picked up some sticks out of the front yard to carry them to the pick up area. He had stopped to admire a leaf so I could not resist but using it. I used rubber bands to flip the paint, then taking water on top of the paint I dropped and splashed that. Then I took green and brown construction paper for leaves and sticks and modge podged it all. You may not be able to see the poem. So this is it:
Toddler's Poem
Two little eyes
Discovering what's new
Two little hands
Touching everything in view
A sweet little voice
Asking why
A mischievous smile
And a whimpering cry
Two little feet
Jumping on the floor
A toddler's mission
Is to explore
Well, I may need to revamp this. I am not totally happy with the way the writing turned out. So to be continued to see what I do with it.

I Love My Mommy
We all know without a little from friends, relatives and such, we know our little ones have a hard time making their mommy cards or something so this card is to contribute to that cause.
I embossed four little hands and a heart for the top of the card. Buttons for a cute addition, A glitter heart, and a few other decorative things there. |
Learning Tomatoes
I always love helping home school moms accomplish what they want to teach their children. This particular tri-board was made for a group of young children with various learning abilities. I helped my daughter make this board for her to take to the school she was helping at for part of her schooling.

Hope
In the beginning of creating this blog was to share with parents of what I was doing with their children in art, craft fun times that we did together.
I am not in that position now so things are a little in the transformation and change times. I do enjoy making projects, cards, scrapbook pages also I enjoy personalizing walls with painted stencils of their choice, and so forth. You can see on my blog all the cards I have made. I put them on here to promote and hopefully try and sell them. All my cards are put inside of a protective clear greeting card box that I bought from Clear Bags. My desire and hope is to get the word out about my cards and the products that I know how to make. I am so new at this. To contact me me you are welcome to email me at:
kitty.rcv@gmail.com
This is a slow start but in time I am sure things will pick up. My heart behind doing this is to help support my missionary friends in Africa, India, Mexico, and others, as well as trying to escape the 9-5 hours . I love making children educational file folder games that seem to be very helpful in their learning. I used to teach kindergarten children in a Christian based community. I did that for quite a few years and loved it.
The cards I make are cards that are mainly inspired by my everyday life, rather people I meet, a song, thinking of somebody, missing my friends, and the list can go on. Til next post, hope to hear from you.

Midnight Oil
This card was totally inspired by listening to a song called Midnight Oil. Tender thoughts ran thru my head as I listened to the words. One is that I am indeed a praying mama for her four grown kids plus others as well.
As I listened it gave me such a gratitude and thankfulness to the One who prayed for me many years ago in a garden. He knew me but I had no idea of who He was. I speak of Jesus my Savior.

I Am Still Here
Please stay with me, whoever may be reading and keeping up with my blog. I emailed Craft Land to see if I could get an outlet thru them to sell my cards I have been making so we will see. I know I may be able to go thru Etsy but ya need money to start with and that is what I am trying to earn, so that is on the back burner for now but not hopeless, so we will see. I feel a project coming on . I will post it when finished. Comments are welcome by the way.

Tea Time- first try
I had a thought it would be fun to make something cute for tea time. It is cute but that is what it is cute. I am not settled with it so I will be trying again, so this is only the first one.

Something Different
Lots of dots. Fun to do. When I was doing this it make me think that no matter what mark we make, it is only a tiny dot what the result may bring forth. If you zoom in you will see all the dots.

Another Approach
Since my effort to try and sell my cards at consignment shops did not work, a friend of mine gave me a suggestion of trying get well cards at the hospital gift shops, so that will be my next step...I will have one up later this eve or tomorrow. I thank God for all the material I have to make these cards , I just really ask for an outlet to sell them.

An Afghan For Danny
Mind you the last three post I have made is past like within the year or more as my daughter passage book which was a few years ago. These pictures here are from making an afghan for my grandson for his birth for the first time which he will be two in Sept now.
This is Danny's Afghan, I barely knew what I was doing. God must have been with me, it turned out |
This was my first crocheted and filled bear I made and sent it as a birthday gift to a little girl overseas. |
These are just a few washcloths I have made |
Things I have Made
Here are some things I have made, but I don't have pictures of alot of things I have made, here is a few.
Well this is it for now.
Frog Wall Painting
Packaged Cards
I made these cards and then contacted Frog and Toad which is a consignment shop. Sent images and all but he replied the cards are in deed beautiful but not the style they carry.
I made this to put on the inside of each of the cards. Hope it is worded nicely since I am not good at grammer :) |
I have more than one picture of a same card trying to show different angles of them, thou I need to work on the reflection of lighting. |
